MediaTek is developing a new flagship Dimensity chip, it will be built on TSMC's 3 nanometre process technology

MediaTek has officially confirmed that it is working on a new top-of-the-line Dimensity processor.

Here's What We Know

The new chipset will be based on TSMC's 3-nanometre process. According to the manufacturer, it consumes the same amount of power as the 5nm N5 process, but boasts an 18% increase in speed. It also offers a 32% reduction in power consumption at the same speed and a 60% increase in logic density. Unfortunately, there are no other details about the novelty yet.

When We Can Expect It

MediaTek will release a 3nm chip based on the TSMC process for smartphones, tablets, smart cars and other devices in the second half of 2024.
