Apple has announced a major update to tvOS.

Here's What's New About It

The firmware has been released with the name tvOS 17. The main innovation of the software is FaceTime support. Users can start a video conversation on an iPhone or iPad and continue it on the TV. FaceTime on Apple TV supports Continuity Camera. That is, the iPhone can be used as a camera and microphone. Also with tvOS 17, the WebEx by Cisco and Zoom apps are now available on Apple TV.

Apple has also added Apple Music Sing, an updated Control Centre, Dolby Vision 8.1 support, and the ability to install third-party VPN services.

When We Can Expect It

The update is already available for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K owners.
