A stable version of Android 8.0 Oreo for OnePlus 5T

The company last year upgraded OnePlus 3 / 3T and OnePlus 5 to Android 8.0 Oreo. While their new flagship was still running on Android 7.1. A beta version of a fresh operating system appeared in late December, and a stable firmware was introduced today.

What's new

The new version is called OxygenOS 5.0.2 and is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The system fixed some errors of the previous version and added new features of the latest operating system. Changed the design of the fast settings, added a security patch for the processor with the number CVE-2017-13218, slightly updated the interface, weather application, gallery and file manager. A battery indicator for bluetooth devices and a picture-in-picture function also appeared.

When to expect

The update is already available for download, but it will "arrive" gradually. But if you do not want to wait, you can turn on the VPN and select the region "Canada" or "Germany". After that, your smartphone will immediately see an OTA-update.
