Smartphones on Windows Phone 7 and 8.0 will no longer receive notifications

Microsoft announced the termination of support for push notifications in Windows Phone 7 and 8.0 from today. Smartphones on these versions of the operating system will no longer receive notifications. In addition, pop-up messages on live tiles will stop working, and also the function "Find my phone" will be removed.
In October, the year, Microsoft officially announced that it will no longer develop new features for Windows 10 Mobile. Even before the company recognized the failure, the operating system has almost "died." And according to the IDC resource, the share of smartphones on this OS in the world fell to 0.1% by the first quarter of 2017.
