Xiaomi Black Shark gaming smartphone was tested in AnTuTu

While it is too early to talk about the boom of gaming smartphones, but after the release of Razer Phone, Chinese manufacturers have sharply increased interest in this segment. In the spring Xiaomi can present its model under the brand Black Shark, and the gadget itself was already noted in the results of the benchmark AnTuTu.

What kind of beast?

The mysterious smartphone received a display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and Full HD + (2160x1080 pixels). The heart of the device was the flagship processor Snapdragon 845 with graphics Adreno 630. The memory is as much as 8 GB, but the storage capacity is only 32 GB. Someone will be enough, but once the model is gaming, it's worth leaving more room for heavy toys. Although the test could get an engineering sample with slightly different characteristics.

The operating system uses Android 8.0 Oreo. Most likely, it will be covered by some kind of shell (MIUI?) - China does not like "pure" Android. The result in the updated version of AnTuTu was 270 680 points. This is slightly better than the US Samsung Galaxy S9 + on the Snapdragon 845, but the device is a bit behind the future Nubia model with similar characteristics.

Judging by the first images, the gadget will come out in black with acid-green accents, and on the lower end of the case there are lattices of stereo speakers.

When the announcement?

As expected , the "black shark" will be presented in May 2018. Xiaomi invests in Black Shark, but it is not yet known whether the company will openly declare its involvement in the creation of the smartphone.
