Following iOS 17.1 RC and macOS Sonoma 14.1 RC: Apple has released watchOS 10.1 Release Candidate
In addition to iOS 17.1.RC and macOS Sonoma 14.1 RC, Apple also announced a pre-release version of watchOS 10.1.
What Is New About It
The update brings a number of bug fixes, improved security, and a few new features. For example, NameDrop and Double Tap. The first one allows you to quickly exchange contacts between a smart watch and an iPhone. To do this, you need to bring the gadgets to each other. As for Double Tap, it is one of the main innovations of watchOS 10. The function allows you to perform some actions on the watch with a double tap gesture of the index finger and thumb. For example, switch off the alarm clock, receive or drop calls, take photos from the iPhone camera, etc.
When We Can Expect It
watchOS 10.1 Release Candidate can already be installed by developers and users who participate in the beta testing programme. The stable version of the software should be released next week.
