Korean Air Aerospace Division (KAL-ASD) has unveiled a new unmanned aerial vehicle at ADEX 2023 in Seoul. It was named KUS-SX.

Here's What We Know

KAL-ASD is positioning the KUS-SX as a reconnaissance and strike drone. It was first shown to the public last month at a parade dedicated to the Republic of Korea Armed Forces. During the event, kamikaze drones were mounted on KIA tactical vehicles.

The drone is 2.5 metres long and has a wingspan of 3 metres. The nose can carry either a warhead or sensors for surveillance and reconnaissance missions.

As an attack drone, the KUS-SX is primarily designed to target enemy sites where missile sites are located. The barrage munition can climb to an altitude of 4,500 metres and remain airborne for 9.5 hours.
