Anthropic has opened access to the Claude chatbot in 95 countries around the world
Anthropic
Anthropic, a company that develops artificial intelligence language models, has expanded the availability of its Claude 2 chatbot to 95 countries.
Here's What We Know
Previously, Claude 2 was only available in the US and the UK. Now it can be used by residents of most countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia.
At the same time, the chatbot is not available in Canada, just like Google's recently launched Bard. In contrast, ChatGPT works in the country without restrictions. The reasons for Anthropic's Canadian delisting are not reported.
Anthropic recently raised $4 billion from Amazon and $100 million from South Korea's SK Telecom. Users praise Claude 2 for its ability to analyse PDFs. But it lacks a number of ChatGPT's multimedia and web-surfing features for now.
