It's official: PlayStation head of production Connie Booth is leaving his post after 34 jobs at Sony

A few days ago, it was unofficially reported that PlayStation's head of production Connie Booth would be leaving the company after 34 years with the company.

Finally, Sony has made an official comment.

Here's What We Know

The Japanese company has confirmed that Connie Booth is leaving his position.

Unfortunately, Sony didn't see fit to explain the reason for this decision and limited itself to a short statement:

Connie Booth has helped make PlayStation Studios a success, and her passion for creating an environment for the team's creative vision to flourish has had a positive impact on many developers.

We are grateful for Connie's many contributions to the company and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

According to an insider, Connie Booth is not leaving of her own accord, but she is being fired. Her entire team, which is a significant number of highly qualified employees, may leave with her.

It is likely that the departure of Connie Booth and Jim Ryan is part of a global restructuring of PlayStation management.

Who will replace the experienced top manager is not yet known, perhaps it will be Angie Smets, who worked at Guerrilla Games studio for 20 years.
