Rumor: LTE modem in OnePlus 6 will support speeds up to 1 Gbit / s

Details about OnePlus 6 began to appear frequently in the network. We already know that the smartphone is likely to get "monobrow". Now the resource XDA-Developers shared information about LTE-modem novelties.

What is known

Flagship company OnePlus has never been famous for supporting high speeds of mobile Internet. For example, OnePlus 3 / 3T supported Cat. 6 LTE (up to 300 Mbps), and OnePlus 5 / 5T - Cat. 12 LTE (up to 600 Mbps), while many of their competitors had the support of a gigabit LTE modem. As the resource XDA-Developers, referring to a reliable source, OnePlus 6 will receive a modem Cat. 16 LTE at speeds up to 1 Gbit / s. Most likely, this will be possible, thanks to the Snapdragon 845 chip.

According to the latest rumors, OnePlus 6 will receive a glass case and, possibly, a fast wireless charging. The novelty will be delivered with 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of ROM and with Android 8.1 Oreo.

When to expect

The announcement of the smartphone should take place this summer.
