A tribute to the Samsung E700 clamshell: Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Flip 5 Retro

Samsung has announced a new special version of the Galaxy Flip 5 foldable smartphone.

The novelty was named Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 Retro. Thus the Korean manufacturer decided to pay tribute to one of its most influential smartphone models - the Samsung E700 clamshell. It debuted twenty years ago.

Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 Retro received the same blue-grey body colour as the Samsung E700, as well as a pixelated clock widget on the lock screen. Apart from this, the device comes in a special box that has images of both the devices on it. The package includes stickers with Samsung logos from different years, a case, as well as a Samsung E700 collector's card with engraved unique Samsung E700 serial number.

As for the specifications of the novelty, they are the same as the regular Galaxy Flip 5 model.

Price and when to wait

Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 Retro will be available in limited quantities in South Korea on 1 November, as well as in the UK, France, Germany, Spain and Australia on 2 November. The price of the novelty is not yet available.
