Team Spirit became the two-time Dota 2 champion of The International 2023: summary of the most prestigious championship of the world cybersports
The International Dota 2 tournament, the most prestigious cybersport championship, has come to an end.
The competition was held in Seattle - the hometown of Valve, which is the creator of the game.

The twelfth The International gave the audience a large number of interesting matches with unpredictable results.
After intense games, the two best teams of the season, Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators, made it to the finals. Throughout the playoffs, the Gladiators showed phenomenal matches and beat their opponents without much difficulty. The third place went to the Chinese team LGD Gaming, who also showed a great game, but fell a bit short of the finalists' level.
This year the prize pool of The International 2023 is extremely modest. If in 2021 its size exceeded $40 million, in 2023 - it is just over $3 million.
The winners from Team Spirit will take 45% of the prize pool - that's about $1.5 million, while their main rivals from Gaimin Gladiators will take just over $377,000.
