LinkedIn added new AI features for job seekers and reported reaching 1bn users

Professional social network LinkedIn has added a number of AI features to its Premium subscription for people looking for jobs. The company also reported reaching 1bn users.

According to the announcement, LinkedIn Premium will have an AI feature that will analyse a user's profile and assess whether the user is a good fit for an open job. The system can give tips on how to improve the profile to improve the chances of finding a job.

In addition, LinkedIn has introduced a feature that summarises long messages into key points personally for each user based on their profession.

Note that the Premium subscription costs $39.99 per month.

The company also announced that it has reached 1 billion users on the platform. This put LinkedIn in the upper echelon of social networks, where Meta's services are now.

About 80 per cent of new members sign up outside the US, the company said.
