Smartphone Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium will receive a 4K-display and Android 9.0
At the MWC 2018 at the end of February, Sony introduced the flagship Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, but the upgrade of the premium series is only planned. According to Chinese insiders, the upcoming Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium (or XZ2 Pro) will ship with the latest Android 9.0 P operating system on board.
What is known?
The information is presumably derived from the UAProf profile on the company website. The novelty is listed under the index H8188, equipped with a 4K-display with a resolution of 4360x260 pixels and a ratio of close to 18: 9. The source adds that it will be an IPS matrix with a diagonal of about 6.1 inches. The heart of the smartphone will be the top-end chipset Snapdragon 845, and the amount of RAM is 6 GB.
On the camera there is no exact information. Perhaps Sony will install its new dual module in Xperia XZ2 Premium with a maximum sensitivity of 51,200 ISO units (up to 12,800 units for video), which was demonstrated at the World Mobile Congress. Thanks to the signal processor Fusion ISP, the system allows you to get high-quality images in poor lighting conditions.
When to expect?
As Google plans to release the final version of Android P in the third quarter, the official announcement of Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium will take place not earlier than IFA 2018 (August 31 - September 5).
The estimated price of the premium 4K-smartphone is 950 US dollars.
