When Ukraine will receive modern self-propelled howitzers RCH 155 based on GTK Boxer APC and with turret from PzH 2000

Last year we wrote that Ukraine ordered new wheeled RCH 155 SAU from Germany. Now it has become known when deliveries of weapons will begin.

When We Can Expect It

Ukraine will receive the first German self-propelled artillery units not earlier than the end of 2024. This was reported by journalists Spiegel, who visited the tests of the SAU.

RCH 155 is now undergoing state tests at German testing grounds. By the way, Ukraine should be the first country that will start operating the RCH 155. In total, the AFU will receive 18 such self-propelled artillery units. Some of the vehicles have already been put into production.

RCH-155 is a modern 155 mm self-propelled artillery unit based on the Boxer wheeled armoured personnel carrier with a turret from the Panzerhaubitze 2000 SAU. The crew consists of two men. The RCH-155 is capable of firing while driving. The maximum range is 54 kilometres and the rate of fire is 9 rounds per minute. The vehicle weighs 39 tonnes. Thanks to its 815 hp engine, the RCH-155 can accelerate up to 100 km/h.
