Characteristics of the flagship Meizu 15 and Meizu 15 Lite from TENAA
First, the Chinese regulator TENAA published only general information on the smartphones of the flagship Meizu 15 line. Later, full specifications appeared in the database, and we already talked about the older Meizu 15 Plus. Now let's see what is to be expected from other novelties.
Not anymore
The Plus version uses a Korean chip Samsung Exynos 8895 (judging by the clock frequency of 2.5 GHz), and the standard Meizu 15 is built on an eight-core processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz. It seems that the insiders were right, and the heart of the device will be Snapdragon 660. There will be versions with 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory. AMOLED-display with a diagonal of 5.46 inches and a full HD-resolution of 1920x1080 pixels remained away from the trend for frameless design. The front panel also has a button with a fingerprint scanner.
The main camera of the two older models is identical: 12 + 20 megapixels, with a threefold optical approximation. Frontal camera with 20 megapixels. Battery capacity is 2940 mAh. The Flyme 7 shell is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Meizu 15 will be available in black, white, gold and blue versions.
Display Meizu 15 Lite has the same diagonal of 5.46 inches, but this is the IPS panel. The characteristics of the processor are the same, but there may already be options (SD660 or something simpler like SD630). RAM 3, 4 or even 6 gigabytes, the built-in - 32, 64 or 128 gigabytes, respectively. Support for memory cards is only in the younger model. It looks like a new trick of the trend of Chinese manufacturers - in the Huawei P20 / P20 Pro, too, there was no slot for microSD.
On the back of the all-metal case is a single camera with a circular flash and a 12-megapixel sensor. The front module is 20 MP. For all models of the flagship family, the cameras on both sides are centered. Symmetry does not violate the 3.5-mm connector, because it simply does not. The battery capacity of 3000 mAh. Expect a gold and two black versions (with a glossy and matte surface of the back).
When the announcement?
Presentation of Meizu 15, 15 Plus and 15 Lite will take place in April, but the exact date of the event is unknown. And in August we will see an updated model of Meizu 16.
