The first major awards ceremony for games released in 2023 has taken place.

The winners of the Golden Joystick Awards are chosen by gamers, so the awards fully reflect the tastes of today's audience.

However, critics also had the opportunity to express their opinions and determine the winners in three categories:

  • best game according to streamers - Valorant;
  • best game according to critics - Alan Wake II;
  • breakthrough of the year - Cocoon.
