Xiaomi introduced the 4K-TV Mi TV 4S to 55 inches for $ 480
A year ago, Xiaomi launched a line of affordable TVs Mi TV 4A, and now the company announced a slightly more advanced 55-inch model Mi TV 4S.
What is it interesting?
The TV did not change much outwardly, but if the case of junior models is completely plastic, then in the Xiaomi Mi TV 4S the frame of the screen is metallic. Instead of side lighting, a straight, 55-inch 4K UHD panel with a resolution of 3840x260 pixels supports HDR format. The built-in audio system became a little more powerful - 2 speakers of 8 watts (instead of 6 watts in 4A).
The rest of the hardware stuffing is the same: the quad-core 64-bit Amlogic T962 chipset with a frequency of 1.5 GHz and the Mali-450 MP5 graphics at 750 MHz, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. There are 3xHDMI, 2xUSB, Ethernet, A / V, S / PDIF and DTMB for the antenna. The set of interfaces is the same as in Mi TV 4A, but the location is more successful - now the flash drive can be stuck sideways, and the TV is put close to the wall:
Xiaomi Mi TV 4S comes with a minimalistic remote control. It has a microphone for voice control, but this function, like the PatchWall recommendations system, is aimed at Chinese users and does not support other languages. The operating system is a heavily modified version of Android. Of course, there are no usual Google services and an application store, but the missing software can be installed from APK-files on a flash drive.
Question price
In China, Xiaomi Mi TV 4S will be available on April 3 at a price of 2,999 yuan, which is about $ 480. For comparison, the 55-inch model of the Mi TV 4A line will cost $ 415. But this attraction is unheard of generosity only for the home market, where Xiaomi easily compensates for the minimal mark-up on its services. Yes, we have a novelty will be cheaper than similar models Samsung and LG, but the difference compared to other Chinese (TCL, Hisense and so on) may not be so great.
By the way, in the advertisement of her TV Xiaomi used a poster for the movie "The First Player to Be Prepared."
