Microsoft has taught the chatbot to anticipate replicas and maintain a lively conversation
When a 21st century person wants to communicate, he has two choices: to appeal to himself like that, or to chatbot. The former are not always friendly, and the latter do not know how to support the conversation normally. Microsoft wants to fix this by updating the artificial intelligence of the sociable bot Xiaolce.
What is known
Xiaolce improved conversational skills and will now understand when it's time to wedge in the conversation. He foresees the replies of the interlocutors, complements them, or revives the conversation when the interlocutors begin to remain silent. Xiaolce is like a charismatic friend who knows how to find the right words. Now instead of shouting orders, you can talk to your virtual assistant.
The new Xiaolce has not yet left the laboratory walls, but has already shown success. In the future, it can become the basis for other chatbots. In case of luck, Microsoft will want to share the final product with partners. So by the end of 2018, wait for new products in this area.
