In August 2023, writer Andrzej Sapkowski confirmed that he is working on a new book based on the cult universe The Witcher. This statement pleased fans, as the author of the novels about Geralt has not published new books for ten years.

Andrzej Sapkowski took part in the VIECC Vienna Comic Con festival, where he announced that the new book of The Witcher series will be released at the end of 2024.
