Honor 100 - the first smartphone with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor is unveiled
Honor today unveiled two new smartphones - Honor 100 and Honor 100 Pro. Let's start with the base model of Honor 100.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone distinguished itself by being the first device with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. This is a chip for mid-range gadgets, which is manufactured using the 4nm process and is the successor to last year's Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
The Honor 100 features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 2664×1200 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, along with an under-screen fingerprint scanner and a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
The main camera includes two modules: 50 MP Sony IMX906 sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 12 MP wide-angle lens with a 112-degree viewing angle.
The 5,000mAh battery supports 100W fast charging. Both models in the lineup also get a C1 chip for better calls. It detects the best cell tower to connect to, and with Wi-Fi connectivity, the phone can easily switch between networks. The manufacturer says this ensures smooth calls during high-speed train journeys and internet without disruption in subways and lifts.
Here's What It Costs
The Honor 100 costs from $350 for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage. Four colours are available: black, white, blue or purple.
