Xiaomi recently released a beta version of China Developer ROM Android 8.0 Oreo for Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi MIX and Mi Note 2. Now it's news that they announced a global beta version of the firmware.

What is known

As already mentioned above, the update received smartphones Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi MIX and Mi Note 2. In general, nothing has changed in the firmware. Most innovations of the new OS were already present in MIUI 9. Nevertheless, Xiaomi corrected the shortcomings of the previous version and improved the offline operating time of the devices. In addition to these three smartphones in the near future the company is going to continue to update its old devices to the latest version of the operating system.

When to expect

According to the manufacturer, testing will not last long. Most likely at the end of the second quarter, users will get the final version of the firmware.
