Xiaomi Comet and Sirius will receive an OLED display and a Snapdragon 710 chip
There were rumors that Qualcomm company should soon introduce a new chip Snapdragon 670. In addition, there was news that it will receive two smartphones Xiaomi with the code names "Comet" and "Sirius". But according to new information, Qualcomm renamed the Snapdragon 670 processor to Snapdragon 710.
What is known
In the updated firmware file, which previously mentioned the names "Comet" and "Sirius", there was an inscription that the chip sdm670 was renamed to smd710. This information was also confirmed by the reliable source of XDA-Developers resource. It is known that the processor will have an Adreno 615 graphics accelerator and eight cores: two high-performance Cortex A75 and six low-performance Cortex A55.
In addition to all this, the file says that the smartphones Xiaomi Comet and Sirius belong to the Mi series. Also new items will be OLED-screen, function "Always-on Display", infrared, support for two sim cards and Android 8.1 Oreo. Both have no memory card slot and NFC module. The only difference is that Xiaomi Sirius will have a cut-out on the screen and support portrait mode in the camera.
When to expect
Naturally, it's too early to talk about the announcement of smartphones, because Qualcomm has not even officially introduced its new chip.
