Moto E5 Plus, E5 and E5 Play: Motorola's budget for every taste
In addition to the new smartphones series Moto G6, Motorola announced the update of the younger line - Moto E5 Plus, Moto E5 and the easiest Moto E5 Play. All models received a fingerprint scanner and are running Android 8.0 Oreo.
Moto E5 Plus
The largest state budget Motorola received a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and a resolution of 1440x720 pixels. The Moto Display function is supported for quick access to notifications directly from sleep mode. The speed is answered by the quad-core chipset Snapdragon 425, RAM 3 GB, and besides the 32 GB drive there is a slot for microSD cards. There will be a basic model of 2/16 GB. The main camera is 12 megapixels, in front - 8-megapixel module with a front flash (in fact, it is for all new products).
This is the only one of the three smartphone with a glass back panel. Behind it lies a powerful battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, a 15-watt TurboPower charger comes in, which will provide up to 6 hours of operation in 15 minutes. Weigh Moto E5 Plus under 200 grams. NFC is not found in any E-series model.
Sales will begin in the coming months, the price of the issue is 170 euros. Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus in the same price range looks more interesting due to Full HD-screen and chipset, but if you just need a large smartphone with maximum autonomy, then Motorola turned out to be a good option.
In the American version, the characteristics are slightly more interesting (SD435, nanocoating to protect against splashes), but in our region it is not worth waiting.
A more compact model with a 5.7-inch "high" screen of the same resolution and a plastic casing. The Snapdragon 425 processor has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory with expandability. Cameras for 13 and 5 megapixels, the capacity of the battery is 4000 mAh, a complete charger for 10 watts.
Moto E5 was estimated at 150 euros. The main competitor Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a metal case (with plastic inserts) and a more powerful chipset, but less battery.
Moto E5 Play
The younger model received a 5.2-inch display with the usual aspect ratio of 16: 9 and HD-resolution. Other features are similar: Snapdragon 425/427 (they have LTE-modem speed), 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable built-in memory. The main camera is 8-megapixel, front-5 MP. The battery is 2800 mAh.
Moto E5 Play is still planned only for North America, and the price is not reported.
