'Superman: Legacy' script is 99.9 per cent ready, says James Gunn
It looks like the script for the most anticipated, and more importantly first, film in the reimagined DC universe has already been written.
Here's What We Know
Director James Gunn, speaking to fans on social media as usual, responded to a question about how far along he is with the script: "99.9%," Gunn wrote, adding: "I’m always changing small things but it’s been essentially done since well before the strike.".
Here's What The Movie Is About
The plot will be about a young Superman who hopes to reconcile his Kryptonian origins with his human upbringing as Clark Kent. The role of Superman will be played by David Corenswet, who has already begun preparations for the role, while Lois Lane will be played by Rachel Brosnahan.
In addition, the cast has already confirmed Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen and newcomer Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmaker.
As a reminder, Superman: Legacy will be the first Superman film project in a decade without Henry Cavill and the first in DC's new "Gods and Monsters" universe.
When We Can Expect It
Superman: Legacy is scheduled for release on 11 July 2025.
