Insider: OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Nord CE 5 will be powered by Qualcomm processors
It looks like OnePlus is going to abandon MediaTek processors in Nord smartphones and move new device models to Qualcomm chips.
Here's What We Know
This was revealed by the insider @heyitsyogesh. For example, the manufacturer plans to install in the OnePlus Nord 5 model Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, although the current version of the device is based on SoC Dimensity 9000. The OnePlus Nord CE 5 smartphone will also get a Qualcomm chip. It will be Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
OnePlus moving to an all Snapdragon lineup is surprising. Don't know how their old partnership with MediaTek will pan out.

Unfortunately, there are no other specifications of the new products yet. It is also unknown when the devices will be released. What we can say for sure is that the gadgets will be unveiled in 2024.
