Xiaomi 15 will get an energy efficient 1.5K LTPO display with variable refresh rate

Xiaomi 14 smartphones are not yet on sale outside of China, and already there is information about the next generation models. This was reported by Chinese insider Digital Chat Station.

According to the source, the Xiaomi 15 will get a 1.5K (1220p) LTPO flat-panel display with a refresh rate of 1-120Hz and a brightness of 1400 nits. The supplier is likely to be Chinese company TCL CSOT once again. The screen will feature technology that will reduce power consumption by 15-20 per cent.

Xiaomi 15 Pro will get a 2K (1440p) panel. It will be characterised by very thin bezels. Their thickness will be only 0.6 mm, which is a third less compared to the indentation that surrounds the display in the Xiaomi 14 Pro.

The Xiaomi 15 series will be unveiled in about a year's time. The next-generation flagships are expected to get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The new chips will be manufactured by TSMC using 3nm technology.
