Analytical research: Alan Wake 2 sold 850 thousand copies on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series

Alan Wake 2 has become one of the best games of 2023. Remedy managed to create a project that immerses you in its world and does not let go until the very end. But how many copies of the game have been sold since its release in October?

Piers Harding, an analyst at Ampere Analysis, said that the game sold 850 thousand copies on consoles. He also added that thanks to Christmas discounts and good reviews from players and critics, AW2's sales percentage will grow even more. At the same time, he suggests that the game may appear in subscriptions such as Game Pass or PS Plus.

Another interesting fact is that the release of AW2 boosted sales of Alan Wake Remastered.

Mat Piscatella, an analyst at Circana, said that Alan Wake II was ranked 147th in terms of the number of active users in November on Xbox Series and 113th on PlayStation 5. The analyst also said that a physical release of the game would have boosted sales, and players agreed with him in the comments.
