There will be a spin-off series based on "Rick and Morty" in anime format from Adult Swim
Rick and Morty are back with more fantastic adventures in anime form, but this time it will be a TV series rather than a short film. And Adult Swim has even shared a teaser of the new series already.
Here's What We Know
Between 2020 and 2021, Adult Swim has unveiled five short films developed and created by Takashi Sano. These works feature Yōhei Tadano and Keisuke Chiba reincarnated in the roles of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith respectively in Japanese dubbing.
The first teaser released gives us a look at the upcoming project, which is very similar to the original, although the animation style is slightly different. In the video, we see Morty's sister, Summer, trying to help a scientist navigate space... and parallel dimensions. Unfortunately for him, Rick flew too close to the distortion and found himself surrounded by various versions of himself from other universes.
The comments below the teaser clearly reflect the excitement of fans, who thank Adult Swim for their decision and look forward to the release of the "Rick and Morty" anime.
When We Can Expect It
"Rick and Morty: The Anime" is set to air in 2024. A more precise date will be announced at a later date.
