To compete with the Mercedes-Benz Maybach: Nio has unveiled the ET9 premium electric car for $112,000
Nio has decided to enter the premium car market in China, which is currently dominated by the Mercedes-Benz Maybach. To compete with the German manufacturer, Nio has launched the ET9 model.
Here's What We Know
This is a premium electric car, which has collected all the technological developments of the brand. The dimensions of the car are 5324 mm in length, 2016 mm in width and 1620 mm in height. The claimed wheelbase is 3250 mm.
The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the range of the novelty, but says that the car is equipped with a 120 kWh battery, which supports 5C fast charging technology. Thanks to it, the car can travel 255 kilometres in 5 minutes of charging. Also, the novelty has received a proprietary 5nm Shenji processor.
The Nio ET9 has autopilot and technology that allows the rear wheels to turn. The car still boasts of an intelligent suspension system developed by ClearMotion with the support of Nio Capital. This system combines shock absorbers with an electro-hydraulic pump for quick height adjustment.
Price & When We Can Expect It
Nio plans to bring the ET9 to market in the first quarter of 2025. The car will cost $112,000. By the way, the novelty can already be pre-ordered for $699. All who do so will get a discount of $699, as well as free 100 hours of exclusive chauffeur service.
