Steampunk is invincible: LG adds a high-pressure handheld steamer to its Styler steam cabinet
This will improve the care of things where cabinet automation cannot cope
At CES 2024, LG Electronics is presenting its new Styler steam cabinet with a high-pressure handheld steamer with two heaters for water and steam. It reminds us that steam-powered appliances are not a thing of the 20th century.
New and Improved Styler
A steamer (the same as the LG Styler) is said to provide fast and efficient garment care cycles with improved drying, dehumidification and wrinkle removal. The high-pressure handheld steamer makes it easy to remove wrinkles from shirts and other garments. Powerful, high-pressure steam penetrates the fabric, leaving it smooth and soft, significantly reducing the need for ironing afterwards. The design of the steamer makes it easy to store inside the Styler, providing a degree of convenience for users.
Dynamic Moving Hanger
This technology allows for individualised care for different types of clothes and fabrics. By making sure that the dried clothes are on the Styler's moving hanger, the new system provides delicate care for the clothes. The developer says it improves dusting, deodorising, drying and wrinkle smoothing thanks to a rotary mechanism that rotates and vibrates up to 350 times per minute. This process helps to remove large and small dust particles from your clothes.
Dual TrueSteam technology
One of the key features of the Styler is its Dual TrueSteam technology. Instead of using a single heater, this device uses two heaters to boil water and generate steam, allowing for precise control of the volume and strength of the steam jet. This innovative technology allows for gentle care of various types of fabrics, including silk and cashmere. Thanks to the optimised course for delicate fabrics, LG ensures that garments are protected during the care process.
