SmartThings cooperate with Tesla API
Tesla Powerwall users will be able to manage and monitor the power status of their homes with Samsung SmartThings Energy
Samsung has announced a partnership with Tesla to improve energy consumption in homes and become the first company in the world to integrate its SmartThings Energy app with Tesla's API. By integrating the service with Tesla, SmartThings Energy users will be able to connect to Tesla devices such as the Powerwall, solar inverter, Wall Connector charger, and electric vehicles. This collaboration will allow Tesla devices to be controlled within the SmartThings app, which improves the position and attractiveness of the smart home ecosystem that Samsung is building.
One of the benefits of this cooperation is the ability to manage energy systems and display information about their production and use. In addition, consumers will be able to receive notifications through SmartThings about the possibility of power outages in case of bad weather, as well as activate the AI Energy Mode to save backup energy. Samsung notes that this collaboration is a step towards creating a more convenient and seamless home experience for consumers, improving control over energy consumption, and reducing humanity's negative impact on the environment.
