Blizzard will test a new Quick Play mode in Overwatch 2 this weekend

Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 will be testing a new Quick Play mode this weekend: Hacked - Quicker Play. It will offer faster capture rates, payloads, and reload times.

In the FAQ section, the studio says that they have decided to test the mode for a limited time in order to better understand what players like about the Quick Play mode. Regarding the choice to replace Quick Play with Quick Play: Hacked instead of including it as an option in the arcade mode, the studio explains that Quick Play: Hacked affects the core gameplay of Overwatch 2's main mode, but still strives for a more balanced experience.

For now, players will not be able to play Quick Play this weekend unless they create a custom game with the appropriate rules or invite other players. Until 13 January, Quick Play: Hacked will be the only alternative available to find a game. The regular Quick Play mode will return on 14 January.

Overwatch 2 is available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
