A few days ago, well-known insider Jeff Grubb revealed that Sony's gaming presentation will take place shortly after the Xbox Developer_Direct show.

According to Italian analyst Roberto Serrano, the Japanese developer is planning to hold the next State of Play show before the end of January.

Most likely, the insiders' information is not unfounded, as Sony has several major releases planned for the coming months, which the public needs to be reminded of.
As a reminder, February will see the releases of shooter Helldivers II and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, while March will see the release of action game Rise of the Rōnin set in 19th century Japan.
