Microsoft announced the launch of Copilot Pro service - a paid subscription for $20 that gives access to the advanced features of the ChatGPT-based chatbot Copilot. It also became known about the release of Copilot mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Here's What We Know
Copilot Pro subscribers will get access to the latest versions of ChatGPT, the ability to use Copilot in Microsoft 365 applications and a number of other new features. In particular, the GPT-4 Turbo model is already available for them during peak loads.
In addition, the company announced the launch of Copilot GPT, a service for customising the bot for specific themes and creating your own models. The subscription also includes improved AI image creation.
Microsoft also announced the expanded availability of the enterprise version of Copilot for smaller companies. Its cost remains the same at $30 per month per person, but there is now an option to purchase from one to 299 seats.
The release of the paid service is designed to recoup the cost of computing power and energy consumption required to operate Copilot. The company also needs to justify its $13bn investment in OpenAI, which gave it a 49% stake in developer ChatGPT.
