Freedom Planet 2 for consoles will launch on 4 April

Freedom Planet 2, an adventure shooter from GalaxyTrail, will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch on 4 April. The game will be available digitally for $24.99 and will feature cross-play support on PlayStation and Smart Delivery on Xbox platforms at launch.

Here's What We Know

Freedom Planet 2 is a sequel to the original Freedom Planet released in 2014. The game will feature a new threat - Merga, the Water Dragon, who wants to devastate Avalice. Lilac, Carol, and Milla return as playable characters, and Neera joins the roster. The game features 24 stages to explore, collectibles, and significant gameplay improvements compared to the first instalment.

Interestingly, along with the console version, a Boss Rush mode will be launched - you will have the opportunity to access it in Battlesphere and challenge two divisions with 17 bosses each - conquering both gives you access to the VIP room with Easter eggs for the series.

When We Can Expect It

Freedom Planet 2 will be released on consoles on the 4th of April 2024.
