We wrote that the People Can Fly studio, which created Bulletstorm, has laid off 30 employees. However, Kotaku has information about layoffs at another studio.

Here's What We Know

Black Forest Games, which made the remakes of Destroy All Humans! 1&2 remakes, laid off about 50% of employees. In 2023, the studio employed 110 people. A Kotaku source also said that creative directors and most managers would keep their jobs.

We would like to remind you that THQ Nordic, which published Destroy All Humans!, reported that Black Forest Games was creating a game about the Ninja Turtles based on the dark comic book The Last Ronin. So now I wonder what the game's fate will be and how much it will be postponed if half of the studio's employees have left.

In general, 3,972 people were laid off in the gaming industry in January 2024 alone.
