Google is developing a new version of the Wear OS.

The information was shared by our colleagues from 9to5Google. The new version of the system will come out with the name Wear OS 5 and will be based on Android 14. By the way, Google is developing Wear OS 5 together with Samsung. The Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch should be the first to receive the update.

Unfortunately, there are no details about the innovations of the system yet. We can only assume that the software will get an updated interface and new features.

When We Can Expect It

Most likely, Google will show Wear OS 5 at the I/O 2024 conference, which will be held in late spring.
