The number of copies of Mortal Kombat 1 sold reached 3 million

Last November, NetherRealm announced that the number of copies of Mortal Kombat 1 sold had "almost reached" the 3 million mark, and recently, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav recently confirmed that the game has reached this figure.
Here's What We Know
He also noted that Mortal Kombat is one of the four franchises that Warner Bros. estimates at $1 billion. The others include Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and DC. As a reboot of sorts, Mortal Kombat 1 is set in the New Era, where Fire God Liu Kang is training the likes of Raiden, Kung Lao and others to compete in a tournament. However, dark forces are at work, and the conflict may soon flare up again.
