Yesterday, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier reported that Embracer Group holding company has cancelled development of the long-awaited Deus Ex sequel and is conducting a wave of layoffs at Eidos Montréal studio.
Unfortunately, some of the information has already been officially confirmed.
Here's What We Know
Eidos Montréal studio published a statement in which they confirmed that they made a difficult but necessary decision and had to lay off 97 employees.

After learning of the problems at Eidos Montréal, Arkane Lyon studio head Dinga Bakaba invited the unemployed to join his team to develop Marvel's Blade, which was announced for December 2023.
Some people mentioned it in the comments and out of modesty I hesitated to say but yes, we have some open positions in Lyon including some that aren't yet on the website. If you have been hit by the recent layoffs, my DMs are open and I'll make sure you are on top of the pile. https://t.co/jPGO8xYJcO pic.twitter.com/GO9dTntq0L

As for the cancellation of the Deus Ex sequel, to the timid hope of fans of the franchise, we note that so far this information has not been confirmed by either Eidos Montréal or Embracer Group. But the game has not been officially announced, so the developers are not obliged to announce its cancellation.
