Tekken 8 shows great sales: in three weeks Bandai Namco has sold more than 2 million copies of the new fighting game
Fighting game fans have been getting some great games lately, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1 and of course Tekken 8. All games are highly praised and are very popular among gamers. But it looks like Tekken 8 is the one that will show the best sales figures.
Here's What We Know
Publisher Bandai Namco published a financial report, from which the first results of Tekken 8 sales became known.
The Japanese developer reported that in the first three weeks since the release (remember, the game was released on 26 January 2024) sold more than 2 million copies of Tekken 8.

Net Sales: $5.12B +3% YoY
Operating Income: $519.7m -26% YoY

In comparison, it took the previous instalment of the franchise 2 months to achieve a similar result, Street Fighter 6 took a month, and Mortal Kombat 1 sold around 3 million copies in 2 months.
There is no doubt that Tekken 8 will continue to sell strongly and bring Bandai Namco huge profits.
Tekken 8 is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
