A major Omega update has been released for No Man's Sky: a new expedition is available for free until 19 February

Hello Games studio has released a major update for the popular space sandbox No Man's Sky.

Here's What We Know

The update is called Omega and is already available in the game, and until 19 February users of all platforms can try out the new expedition for free, and in-game rewards are offered for watching No Man's Sky streams on Twitch.

No Man's Sky features a huge amount of content, including quests, starships, planets, expeditions, pirate freighters, NPCs and more.

The main innovations of patch 4.5 are:

  • new ship - Starborn Runner;
  • the ability to board defeated pirate ships and steal them along with their cargo;
  • the Atlas quest chain has been radically redesigned, adding an important option to choose the ending, which will forever affect the relationship with Atlas;
  • more planetary quests will appear, now their introductions and objectives depend on the personality of the NPC, as well as the climate, geography and ecology of his home planet.
  • The notification interface has become more user-friendly and can now be personalised.

In the "Omega" add-on, the No Man's Sky developers significantly improved the expedition system, making them more social, complex and diverse.

All the details of "Omega" can be found on the official No Man's Sky page.
