Beta testing of the popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has started on Xbox Series consoles
Beta testing of the popular multiplayer role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV, which for many years was available only on PC and PlayStation, has started on Xbox Series consoles.
Here's What We Know
As publisher Square Enix warned, testing is only available to new players who are getting acquainted with the game for the first time and have no accounts or characters in it. To play on Xbox, you'll need to link your Microsoft account and your Square Enix account.
An Xbox Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription is not needed to participate in the test, but Square Enix emphasises that it will be required to access the full version of the game.
The test version is available in the Xbox catalogue under the name FINAL FANTASY XIV Online - Free Trial. It includes content from the main game, as well as the Heavensward and Stormblood add-ons.
