Critics are excited about Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and give the game top marks
Next week will see the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second of three planned parts of the remake of the 1997 cult JRPG.
Critics and journalists have already familiarised themselves with the game and published their reviews.
Here's What We Know
Experts almost unanimously agreed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a terrific game, which is recommended to both long-time fans of the franchise and those who are getting acquainted with it for the first time.
The developers from Square Enix have done a great job and endowed Rebirth with exciting gameplay, interesting story, colourful characters, various additional activities and mini-games, excellent music, and the technical execution does not cause any complaints.
The only thing that some experts didn't like was the ending of the game. In their opinion, it turned out to be not quite clear, contradictory and may not appeal to fans of the original Final Fantasy VII.
At the time of writing the game has 93 points on aggregators, and on Opencritic Rebirth received 100% of recommendations.
This puts Square Enix's new game in second place on Metacritic among the games in the series, behind only Final Fantasy IX, which has just one more score.
When We Can Expect It
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will release on 29 February exclusively on PlayStation 5, but the game will be released on PC a few months later.
