Xiaomi Watch 2: with Wear OS, Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor and fall detection for €200
Xiaomi held an event today at MWC 2024 in Barcelona where it unveiled a lot of devices for the international market. These are mostly gadgets already available in China, including the No Pro version: the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra flagships have hit the global market. That is, these are not new products - we've already seen them and know their specifications. But Xiaomi has also prepared a new product - the Xiaomi Watch 2.
Here's What We've Seen
By the way, Xiaomi already has the Watch 2 Pro in its range - it was released in September last year. Xiaomi Watch 2 is very similar to them in characteristics, but different in appearance - they do not have a rotating crown, and for the control are responsible for two buttons on the side of the case.
Xiaomi Watch 2 features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels, Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor and runs Wear OS.
The case is made of aluminium and has a water resistance of 5 ATM.
The gadget is capable of tracking heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep patterns, menstrual cycle and stress levels. It is claimed to support more than 160 sport modes. There is an inbuilt GPS for outdoor activities.
In addition, the watch has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory, a microphone and speaker for hands-free voice calls via a paired smartphone, and a 495mAh battery that provides up to 65 hours of battery life.
The fall detection feature will automatically notify selected contacts in case of an emergency. The user can also contact emergency services if needed.
Here's What It Costs
The Xiaomi Watch 2 is available in black and silver colours and costs 199 euros.
