A leak may have revealed the full specs, price and launch of the Samsung Galaxy A55
The launch of Galaxy A55 is getting closer by the day and quite a lot has already been known about the novelty. Now an insider has revealed, presumably, all the information about the model and the beginning of its sales.

Journalist and blogger Roland Quandt, who earlier before the announcement made public all the specifications of the Galaxy Fit 3 fitness bracelet, has now revealed new insider information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone on German website Winfuture.
According to his information, the Galaxy A55 will get a 6.6-inch flat screen with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels at 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. The dimensions of the phone will be 161.1 x 77.4 x 8.2 mm. The frame in the Galaxy A55 could be made of aluminium and the weight will be 213 grams. In addition, the leak suggests that the Galaxy A55 will also inherit IP67 protection, in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers from its predecessor.
In terms of performance, the new product will feature Samsung's new Exynos 1480 processor with four powerful 2.75GHz cores and four power-efficient 2.0GHz cores. The memory versions will be 6/128GB and 8/256GB. MicroSD support will be present. Also, the model will support NFC, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 and a USB-C 2.0 port.
As for the camera system, the A55 has not changed much compared to the last model, judging by the leaks. The main sensor remains a 50-megapixel unit with f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilisation. It is complemented by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera also seems to be unchanged, retaining the 32-megapixel sensor found on the A54.
The battery also appears to remain unchanged. Its capacity will be 5000 mAh, which can be charged with a maximum 25W adapter. There is no mention of wireless charging support.
In terms of software, the Galaxy A55 is expected to run the latest version of Android 14 with Samsung's One UI 6.1. Whether any AI-enabled features that were introduced with the flagship S24 lineup will be present is not yet known.
Price & When We Can Expect It
As for the price, the Galaxy A55 is likely to go on sale at a price of 449 euros. For the version with increased memory, the recommended price is likely to be just under €500. The new Samsung Galaxy A55, as well as the cheaper Galaxy A35 model, will be available in Germany from 11 March 2024. The choice will be between colour options: navy blue, blue, white and purple.
