The Dutch government continues to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders, announcing a new aid package for the AFU.
Here's What We Know
The Dutch Ministry of Defence reported that it has ordered 9 modern self-propelled artillery units DITA from the Czech company Excalibur Army. There is no information yet on when the deliveries of weapons will start.
Flashback
DITA is a new self-propelled artillery unit of 155 mm calibre. Its first prototype was shown in 2021. DITA has a fully automated turret and a removable M4 touchscreen control system. The howitzer is operated by only two men. The DITA's ammunition pack consists of 40 projectiles. The maximum range of the weapon is 39 kilometres. The unit is based on the Tatra chassis.
