MSI Claw A1M handheld console with Intel Core Ultra i5 135H processor is available for pre-order
MSI has entered the portable gaming console space for the first time with the unveiling of its new MSI Claw A1M at CEW 2024. The console is available in two processor variants, the Intel Core Ultra i5 135H and the Core Ultra i7 155H.
Here's What We Know
The base model, priced at $699, is already available for pre-order on MSI's website and should go on sale on 12 March 2024. Details on the availability of the more expensive models have not been announced yet, but it is expected to be soon as the shipping date is close.
All Claw models feature a 7-inch IPS touchscreen with FHD (1920×1080) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The systems have a peer-to-peer memory with 16GB of 6400MHz LPDDR5 RAM. Connectivity utilises the latest Intel Killer BE Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 modules, providing high-speed wireless connectivity.
Memory options vary by model. The more expensive ones have 1TB of NVMe SSD memory, while the base model has 512GB NVMe SSD. Both use the Gen4x4 2230 interface for fast data transfer. All models offer rich sound with 2 x 2W speakers and support a variety of peripherals via a Type-C USB port with DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4 capabilities, as well as a Micro SD card reader.
The devices are designed for portability, measuring 11.57" x 4.60" x 0.83" and weighing 1.44 pounds. They run on a 6-cell 53Wh battery and come with a 65W power adapter. MSI is also offering a 1-year global warranty on the Claw series.
