Microsoft is dropping support for Android apps and games in Windows 11

Microsoft has announced that from 5 March 2025, it will stop supporting the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA), which allowed Android apps from the Amazon Appstore to run on Windows 11 computers. After that date, users will not be able to install or use such apps or receive technical support.
Microsoft hasn't explained the reason for its decision, but it may have to do with low demand for Android apps on Windows or competition with other ways to run Android apps on PCs, such as Google Play Games or third-party emulators.
Users who want to continue using Android apps on Windows should look for alternative solutions before 5 March 2025 or switch to another operating system.
