North Macedonia buys additional batch of JLTV armoured vehicles from the US

North Macedonia has decided to order an additional batch of JLTV armoured vehicles from the US.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about 26 armoured vehicles: 18 in M1278A1/A2 JLTV (HGC) modification and 7 in M1280A1/A2 JLTV modification. Earlier Macedonia ordered 71 armoured vehicles. The total cost of the vehicles is $111 million. By the way, the US State Department has already approved the purchase.

Flashback

JLTV is a series of American highly mobile armoured vehicles. It was created to replace HMMWVs, which have been in service with the US Army since the 80s. The programme to create the vehicles was launched in the early 2000s. JLTVs are available in several modifications and for different missions.
